Site Launch Quick Guide

Synapse Content Radar — Site Launch Quick Guide

A fast checklist for taking everything we’ve built — the WXR export, the
pages, the posts — from files on disk to a live site. Follow top to
bottom; each step assumes the one before it is done.

1. Import the content (5 minutes)

  1. In wp-admin, go to Plugins → Add New, search “WordPress Importer,”
install and activate it if it isn’t already.
  2. Go to Tools → Import → WordPress → Run Importer.
  3. Upload synapse-content-radar.wxr.xml.
  4. When prompted to assign the author, either map tdx7 to an existing
user or check Create new user.
  5. Leave “Download and import file attachments” unchecked — there are
    none in this export.
  6. Click Submit. All 8 items (5 pages, 3 posts) land as drafts
nothing goes live yet, on purpose.

Verify: Pages → you should see Pricing, FAQs, Help and Support,
Privacy Policy, Terms of Use. Posts → three posts, correctly filed under
News / Tips & Guides in the sidebar.

2. Fill in the placeholders before publishing anything

Search each of these across the imported content (Screen Options → show
more per page, or just open each draft):

Placeholder Found in Replace with
[Month Year] / [DATE] Privacy Policy, Terms of Use Actual last-updated date
# on Download/Get Starter/Get Pro/Get Agency buttons Pricing page Real WordPress.org listing link + Freemius checkout links per plan
# on Start free / Go Pro links FAQs page Link to the live Pricing page once it has a permalink

Don’t publish Pricing or the legal pages until these are real — a #
button in front of a paying customer looks broken, not “coming soon.”

3. Set up navigation

Real AI Navigator nav (mirrored here): Home / Pricing / FAQs / Help and
Support
. In wp-admin:

  1. Appearance → Menus (or Editor → Navigation on block themes) —
create a menu with those four items, in that order.
  2. Assign it to your theme’s primary menu location.
  3. Update the footer widget to match — the earlier AI Navigator site
had its footer nav out of sync with the header; don’t repeat that here.
Footer copy text lives in homepage-and-footer-copy.md.

4. Set the Home page as your static front page

The “Home” page now comes through the WXR import as real content (a
hero heading, tagline, and a Query Loop block showing your latest
posts) — it’s no longer just markdown copy with nowhere to put it.

  1. Publish the Home page (Pages → Home → Publish), after filling in its
one placeholder link (the “Start your 7-day free trial” button, #
→ your real Freemius checkout URL once that’s set up).
  2. Go to Settings → Reading, set “Your homepage displays” to A
    static page
, and choose Home as the Homepage.
  3. Leave “Posts page” unset (or point it at a dedicated blog page if you
want /blog/ as a separate archive — optional, not required).

Footer widget text (the one-paragraph plugin description) still
isn’t a WordPress page/post — it’s theme-widget content. Paste it into
your footer text widget, same slot AI Navigator uses. Full copy is in
homepage-and-footer-copy.md.

5. Categories

Already created by the WXR import (News, Tips & Guides) and already
assigned to the right posts — nothing to do here. Confirm under
Posts → Categories that both exist and post counts look right (2
Tips & Guides, 1 News).

6. Freemius setup (before Pricing goes live)

  1. Create the product in your Freemius dashboard if you haven’t already.
  2. Create the four plans (Free / Starter $8.99 / Pro $28.99 / Agency
$38.99) matching what’s on the Pricing page — or adjust the page copy
if you land on different pricing.
  3. Grab the real checkout URLs for each paid plan and the WordPress.org
listing URL, and drop them into the Pricing page (see Step 2).

7. Legal review

Have an actual lawyer look at Privacy Policy and Terms of Use before
publishing — particularly the $50 liability cap and New York
governing-law clause, both copied structurally from AI Navigator’s real
terms and worth confirming are correct for however this entity is
actually set up.

8. Publish order

Suggested sequence, so nothing links to a 404:

  1. Privacy Policy, Terms of Use (no dependencies)
  2. Pricing (once Freemius links are real)
  3. FAQs (links to Pricing)
  4. Help and Support (links to nothing external)
  5. Home (once its trial-signup link points at real Pricing/Freemius; set as static front page per Step 4 above)
  6. The three blog posts (link to FAQs, Help, and each other)

9. After launch

  • Submit synapse.teddyx7.shop/sitemap.xml to Google Search Console.
  • Cross-link from ainav.teddyx7.shop where relevant — same company, same
TDX7 audience, worth the mutual traffic.
  • Keep the publishing cadence going: the content-gap post is your
flagship piece — consider a follow-up in 2–3 weeks once you have a
real example gap report to show (anonymized, if it’s a client’s data).
